Beautiful Shanghai was the backdrop for this year's HKAIH Summer Camp. The development camp was held over a period of two weeks and included over 65 students from Asia. The camp was lead by General Manager Coach Barry Beck of the Hong Kong Academy of Ice Hockey, Head Coach Kristof Kovago of the Taiwan Ice Hockey Academy and Hiroki Wakabayashi was brought over from the United States to coach the goalies. Assistant Coaches Kyle Simms and Tan Anqi ran the dry-land program and also helped out on ice.
Students from Hong Kong, Taipei, Xiamen, and Shanghai participated and trained hard in lessons including on-ice training, dry-land training, fitness activities and video classroom sessions.
During the camp, students had a chance to visit some of the sites of Shanghai and enjoy the delicacies as well. The experience brought together many of the players families, coaches and staff. Thank you to all the participants and parents for their support of the camp and the sport in Asia.
